IDEA Launch Labs - Ask, Listen, Learn

Innovators do not guess. They discover. In this Lab, IDEA faculty and mentors will guide you
through the basics of customer discovery and help you learn how to talk with potential users,
customers, and stakeholders.

You will practice asking questions that generate useful insights, listening without steering the
conversation, and identifying what people actually need rather than what you assume they need. You will also explore how what you learn from real people can challenge assumptions, reveal
opportunities, and change the direction of an idea.

Takeaway - Leave with a customer discovery plan and questions you can use with real users,
customers, and stakeholders.

Rutgers faculty and IDEA may nominate promising student teams or individuals to participate in IDEA Launch Labs. Students may also self-nominate.
