IDEA Launch Labs - Pitch Craft

FOR TEAMS SELECTED FOR THE SCARLET PITCH DEVELOPMENT ROUND

You made it to the Scarlet Pitch Development Round. Now it is time to turn your application into a
pitch that lands. In this Lab, IDEA faculty and mentors will coach you as you shape your
application into a clear five-minute pitch, structure your slide deck, and create visuals that support
rather than distract from your message.

You will work on explaining your problem, solution, evidence, and impact so judges can quickly
understand the value of your idea. You will also begin preparing for judge Q&A and the kinds of
questions you are likely to encounter during the Development Round Online Pitch Nights on
February 18 and 19.

Takeaway -  Leave with a stronger pitch structure, stronger slides, and a plan for preparing for judge
Q&A.

Rutgers faculty and IDEA may nominate promising student teams or individuals to participate in IDEA Launch Labs. Students may also self-nominate.
